The Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University proudly invites academics, researchers, practitioners, and students to submit papers for The 4th International Conference on Culture and Sustainable Development (ICOCAS) 2026.
ICOCAS serves as an international academic platform that encourages critical dialogue and interdisciplinary collaboration on issues surrounding culture, society, and sustainable development. The conference aims to explore how humanities-based perspectives can address contemporary global challenges.
Conference Theme
“Rethinking Environmental Sustainability in Indonesia: Environmental Justice and Community Resilience”
This theme highlights the importance of cultural and humanistic approaches in understanding environmental sustainability, ecological justice, and community resilience in the face of global environmental change.
Scope of Topics
We welcome original research papers related to, but not limited to:
- Environmental Publics, Media, and Cultural Discourse
- Sustainability, Society, and Everyday Life
- Community Resilience, Local Knowledge, and Environmental Justice
- Ecology, Environment, and Climate Change
Objectives
ICOCAS 2026 aims to:
- Provide a platform for international academic exchange
- Promote interdisciplinary research on culture and sustainability
- Strengthen global academic collaboration
- Highlight the contribution of humanities to environmental and sustainability studies
